I’m the founder and managing director of Kalium,

an investment platform focused on capital innovation — on better directing resources toward the creation of public goods.

I do this work because I don't think power — bundled as capital, ownership, governance — is a law of nature. It's code, written by other people. It can be written differently. What I'm really after is what becomes possible when it is.

At Kalium, that means piloting a new asset class, aligned equity, that redirects surplus to the public at the point of capital formation: not through post-hoc philanthropy, but in the structure of each investment.

I didn't start here. I co-founded Purpose US in 2017 and spent five years building steward-ownership structures — work that brought the legal cost of a purpose trust from about a million dollars to under fifty thousand, and moved billions in assets into the commons across dozens of companies, funds, and community-led projects. Curious how to scale what we'd learned about governance, I founded Apiary, advising digital teams on decentralized decision-making through community science and systems design.

What I learned is that every road of change leads back to the same upstream question: who holds power, and who benefits from the value the economy creates. So I moved upstream. Kalium is what that looks like.

I love human beings, and I believe creativity is essential to a thriving life and a thriving society. I sit on the board of Kickstarter PBC.
